Through the noble efforts of B.T.ARASAKUMAR M.A., affectionately called “Philanthropist” (Vallal) was founded with blessings of Annai Teresa for organizing the Constructive programmes in Tamilnadu. The B.T.K. Teacher Training Institute was officially inaugurated on 24th October 2004.
B.T.K B.Ed college was started in the year 2008 to meet the special requirements of secondary schools in the rural areas emphasizing the training of graduates in Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, History, Commerce, Economics and Computer Science to enable them to work in rural High and higher Secondary Schools.
B.T.K College of Education is a self-financing one and affiliated to Bharathidasan university in the 2006. Now it is under the control of Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, CHennai. This Institute is recognized by both Central ans State Government. Students are admitted as per Govt Norms.
B.T.K College of Education is located in the Natural Scenery. it is 1 km away from Viralimalai Town. So we feel free air without any noise. This place enjoys a salubrious climate with stimulation for learning to the students.
It has a fine three storied building. This Institute is Co-Education with accommodation for 100 students in B.Ed course, 50 students in M.Ed course.

This deed of declaration of Trust is created on this day 24th August 2000 by Mr.B.T.ARASAKUMAR M.A., Son of Mr.S.THIYAGARAJAN aged about 47 years, residing at No.5M.P Avenue, Majestic Colony, Saligramam, Chennai-93.
The Board of Trustees are Mr.B.T.ARASAKUMAR M.A., Mrs.A.KOKILA and Dr.A.SHANMUGAPRIYA M.D.,
Born in 1968 to Late Sri. Thiagarajan and Late Smt.Balamani, Sri.B.T.Arasakumar, Popularly known as, BT Kumar an educationalist, Pursued Master of Arts from Annamalai University is a businessman and also best known as the founder president of All India Private Educational Institution Association (Popularly known as AIPEIA), founder president All Indian NGO Association (AINA) and Managing Director of Garuda Agencies started BTK college of education in the year, 2005 at Viralimalai to cater the quality secondary grade teachers’ requirement in the rural areas with B.Ed and later upgraded to M.Ed in 2006.
Kokila Arts and Science College is approved by the Government of Tamilnadu affiliated to Bharathidasan University in the year 2019, enrolling students from the current academic year 2020-2021 on various Arts and Science subjects.
With a spacious building along with state of Art technological infrastructure on computers, a knowledge bank and library is being started with the aim of building the future of Students.
